Mission statement

The VRCC_Aus will facilitate connections and partnerships across the Mixed, Augmented and Virtual Reality industries on a National level by providing a dynamic, entertaining, educational and thought provoking program of meetups, events and resources suitable for both technical and creative professionals.

Key actions and to be undertaken in the first 6 months from establishment are as follows;

  • Establish Melbourne Event Series
  • Recruit members and build Industry map
  • Establish Social Media Communities
  • Establish a large scale creation event

Inspirational Events

The VRCC regular event program will be supported by relevant create-a-thon style events.  These events will help take the concepts and discussions that are raised at the meetups and turn them into working prototypes and actionable content and business concepts to charge the industry.  If you have an event concept reach out, we'd love to collaborate with you.

Access to Hardware

To stimulate action from the meetups and resources made available to the community developed by VRCC_Aus, the leadership of the community will actively seek connections with hardware providers, with the aim of obtaining hardware to be used by the community for demonstration, experimentation and development.

Knowledge Sharing

Knowledge gained by the VRCC community will be used to perform outreach activities whenever possible.  VRCC hopes to connect with youth groups, diversity groups and related initiatives, and educational institutions to inspire young and diverse people to engage with these technologies.
