Prominent content creators and developers from Melbourne get together to discuss interactivity, multiplayer paradigms and experience sharing in VR. The panel focusses on their approaches, what paradigms they have discovered and possibilities that they wish to explore. Question time invites the audience to suggest challenges for the panel to work through, based on problem solving tricky non-solo VR experiences.
Panellists
James de Colling is Head of Content at Zero Latency VR, a Free Roam Virtual Reality facility ahead of the curve in creating and developing free roaming VR experiences. Zero Latency recently announced their partnership with Sega to open a premier Free Roam VR Venue in Sega's own Joypolis entertainment park.
James has over 17 years of game development experience, with 8 years of that working in Tokyo with some of Japan's most infamous developers, holding Lead and Art Director positions across every major console platform, handheld and mobile/tablet device mixed in with several years of CG for TVC's and Print Media before moving into VR development in 2014. |
Emre Deniz is a Game Designer and Producer at Opaque Media Group, coming from an academic background in Games and Media Communications as well as various production roles in projects across technology, games and traditional art media.
Previously working with clients and partners such as Epic, Google, Microsoft and Alzheimers Australia, Emre currently works as a Project & Design Lead on Earthlight and as the Project Lead for Genesis. Outside of Opaque Media Group Emre is also half of the independent game developer Chalk In Rain, as well as actively engaged in advocacy and mentoring of students within the games community. |
